Huchuy Qosqo: This hike is shorter and nicer, a bit easier for those hikers with unlimited time. Ideal for families who are not used to long hikes and is recommended for everyone.
This place is located 60 km in the northern part of Cusco and at 3600 meters above sea level; this archaeological site has impressive terraces, patios, esplanades, plazas, trails, 2-story buildings and ends the tour at the Inca site of Machu Picchu.

Trip Details

Dia 1: Cusco- Lago Dorado- Quencco

Our trek to Huchuy Qosqo begins at 6 am with a pick up from your hotel and we will take you to the Puka Pucara Inca site. After touring these ruins, you will get on the trail and begin the hike, which will start with a 1 to 2 hour climb. Finally, you will reach the first pass, which has incredible views of two valleys.
Upon reaching the top of the valley, we will have a buffet lunch prepared by our professional chef. This will be your first experience tasting the delicious food.
After lunch, we continue with the 2 to 3 hour hike through impressive landscapes where we will be able to see alpacas, llamas and sheep from the Andean villages of the area and agriculture. During the course of the hike, our guide will show you the characteristics of the area and the amazing landscapes and lagoons. The camp for this night is located within a local mountain community.
At the site, you will be able to visit the families of the area where you will learn about their way of life; After spending time with these wonderful people our chef awaits you with a delicious dinner

Dia 2: Qencco -Huchuy Qosqo -Lamay-Ollaytambo-Aguas Calientes

The day will begin with hot coca tea or coffee and a delicious hot breakfast. Then we will start with the hike where we will be able to appreciate beautiful vegetation and hundreds of hummingbirds. Your guide will allow many stops to observe flora and fauna where you can take pictures.
After 3 hours you will arrive at the ancient Inca ruins of Huchuy Qosqo. Enjoy a guided tour of this incredible ruin, which is hundreds of years older than Machu Picchu. After the official tour, you will have time to explore and photograph on your own. At the site we will have lunch to continue walking towards the Urubamba River.
You will walk downhill for approximately 2 hours to reach the Urubamba River, where a van will be waiting to take you to Ollantaytambo, where you will have dinner at a fabulous restaurant. After dinner, you will board the train to the town where Machu Picchu is located. The guide will take you to your hotel and you will enjoy a hot shower and rest for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 3. Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes- Cusco

Today you will discover Machu Picchu, the world famous sacred city of the Incas. Most travelers choose to wake up at 4:30 or 5 in the morning, so they can have a quick breakfast and head to the bus station where we will try to catch the first bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The trip to get to Machu Picchu is 25 minutes return 25 minutes by the same road.
Your official guided tour to Machu Picchu will start at 8 am and end in 2 hours. If you have permission to climb Huayna Picchu, it will start at 7 am. In total, you will have approximately 4 to 5 hours to spend inside the Machu Picchu park. After touring and taking photos, your guide will take you to the bus stop back to Aguas Calientes. Depending on the departure time of your train, you will need to head directly to the train station or you can go to one of the many fantastic restaurants in town for lunch (not included).
Finishing off the tour, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, you will board our private transportation and be in Cusco at 8 pm where our service will end.
