The first day begins with a pick up from your hotel at 4:30 am to take the bus to Lares (hot springs) for approximately 3 hours; once there we will have breakfast with beautiful views. Then we begin our 2 hour climb to the Kiswarani village, where a delicious lunch prepared by the chef awaits us.
Then we continue the walk for 3 hours passing beautiful waterfalls, agriculture, mountains until we reach our camp along with the Kiswarani lagoon. It is there where we will have our dinner on the first day of the walk with local products.

This day we will wake up early with a cup of coffee and coca tea, then we will have a delicious breakfast. This day we will have a bit of a challenging hike uphill to the highest point, Condor Pass (4700 m/ 15354 ft). This stretch is a 3-hour walk, in this place you will be able to see lagoons and mountains and even alpacas. After taking pictures, we will have the 2-hour descent from the top of the mountain to the valley where lunch prepared by our chef will be served.
After lunch, we will continue the hike downhill for 2 more hours to the town of Cancha Cancha; our arrival will be in this place welcomed with smiles and joy from our COCA EXPEDITION TRAVEL team and your tent will be ready with hot drinks to enjoy the view of the mountains. In this place we will have time to visit the town, interact with the local people while our chef prepares dinner.

Today will be a memorable day. We will have a magnificent breakfast to begin the tour along an impressive path full of flora and fauna for 3 hours until we reach our lunch point, from the highlands to the sacred valley of the Incas Wuaran, here is where we will have lunch to continue our trip to the salt mines. We also have to say goodbye to our work staff, the chef and assistants.
To get to the salt mines it will take us 1 more hour by bus where you will be able to appreciate this beautiful place and take photos; Our guide will have time to explain the history and culture of this impressive area.
The tour continues to Ollantaytambo (Andean world capital of the Americans) will take extra time to explore its ancient streets and water channel that is in use since the time of the Incas until now. After exploring we have dinner at a local restaurant in Ollantaytambo before taking the train to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a 3-star hotel with hot shower and clean bathrooms.

Today our tour ends with a visit to Machu Picchu. We wake up early in the morning to take the first bus to Machu Picchu and see the sunrise of the Inca citadel.
Then your guide will explain for 2 hours the highlights in Machu Picchu, you will have time to explore or take some photos on your own or go on hikes like Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain; both mountains should be booked as far in advance as possible. Once finished we head to take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included), after lunch we go to the train station in Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo which takes 2 hours and the bus to Cusco awaits us to your hotel.

It is important to note that you will not be bringing all of your stuff on this trek; you will only be bringing the essentials for the 4-day, 3-night trek to the Inca Trail and leaving the rest of your luggage in Cusco. We will provide you with a duffel bag to put 7 kilos of your stuff in; this should include your sleeping bag and air mattress. The porters will carry the duffel bags during the trek to Aguas Calientes town.
